I just wanted to pop by and saw you make the most wonderful journals I have ever seen in my entire life. I love them; they are so artistic and emotional that I just can't control myself. x3 Beautiful job.

Hello, can you recommend some books about bookbinding? I think your creations are amazing, I'd like to study about how to make hardcovers..Thanks!

Hi. I used to recommend book on bookbinding, but youtube and the internet have so much more available. There are videos out there that practically will show you just about everystep and secret.
That is my suggestion if you want to explore bookbinding.
Cheers

They are beautiful bindings and I could imagine them in some of the libraries I have visited but my biggest curiosity is how long have you been making these bindings.

I have been bookbinding for about 12 years now. I have had a fascination with the anatomy of books for as long as I can remember.

I have always loved well bound books our local main libaray an amazing colection of old hand bound manuscripts you can't take them out but hey you can go visit them. Have you ever had a go at things like Chinese or Japanese bindings.

I have dabbled in various styles. I focus on 16th century binding with the incorporation of my own techniques.

The 16th centuary influence is very clear if you ever have the chance to visit Trinity college Dublin in Ireland go to the reading rooms there are some beautiful hand written manuscripts in their collection including the Book of Kells.
