Plumbody Sketchinoff by BCcreativity Plumbody Sketchinoff by BCcreativity
This is a 5.5x7.5 leather journal with an old world feel. The text block contains bright white drawing paper with a copper painted edge. Hand sewn headbands and handmade marbled paper. Decorative aged filigree on all corners with simple line tooling. Aged plum leather and distressed to give it an older look.

love the look of this one so much!
how did you managed to paint the page edges? every time i tried it the paper gets too cockled.
i also wish i could do embossing, plain leather gets boring after a while

Thank you.
To get the text block edges painted, I take two 1/8 in ply wood cut to the text block size and use clamps to press it tightly together. Then when you paint, you have a clean painted edge.
Allow to dry over night. Once dry, take out of the clamps and boards. Hold the text block with both hands and twist it . The pages will separate. Then just fan it out and you are finished with that step.
