This is a commission I just finished. The theme is about time. I created this with the specific direction of the client.
It is a 6x9 black leather journal with four supported cords, hand sewn headbands, decorative archival anatomy illustrations for the end sheets and inlays and de-bossing for the covers.
The grim reaper is on the front and an hour glass is on the back to signify time is up.
I created the text block with high quality drawing paper and a silver bookmark ribbon which is hand sewn into the spine.
Finished off with simple line tooling, silver highlights and buffed out with paraffin wax,
