De Rerum Natura by BCcreativity De Rerum Natura by BCcreativity
This is a translated copy of (De Rerum Natura), On the Nature of Things, by Titus Lucretious Cerus, 50 BCE
I have always wanted a copy of this, but did not want a standard paperback version from the bookstore. I wanted a copy bound in leather and embellished to stand out on its own.
This creation is 9.5x11.25 and has over 300 pages which contain all six books

This is truly amazing and the craftsmanship is superb to anything I have seen. I ♥ the colors you chose. Do you have an Etsy store?

What do you think about this book? What do you like the most in Lucretius? On my studies I have Roman literature and it's great that other people likes it too. :D

I like the fact that if you break it all down and just be honest with yourself.
You know that what is being said has far more truth to it than not.
It's almost like common sense buried under millennia of conjured stories, depictions, teachings, religions and myths which only redirect you from the reality we all face once you take away everything else.
It is amazing to read and has been far too overlooked.

It is also very pesymistic story. Lucretius's point of view in this kind of philosophy is gloomy and these contents of thoughts brought on his suicide.

I like every choice you made on that down to the deckle on the endpaper (Nepalese?). What's the edge treatment?
It's stunning.
