Cathedral Sun by BCcreativity Cathedral Sun by BCcreativity
This is a 6x9 rich plum leather journal with handmade marbled paper, hand sewn headbands and off white parchment for the text block.
A strong 7 cord spine with decorative inlays and tooling that is aligned with the spine cording.
Matching green ribbon bookmark capped with a decorative gold filigree accent to compliment the corner gold leafing on the front and back of the covers.

Oooh, I love your marbling in this one! Fabulous. Are you using acrylics?

Do you mind if I ask which brand/style you prefer? I'm testing out some new product right now, as I realize the acrylics I started with didn't stand up to dilution too well.

I live in Seattle and the Art store of choice here is called Blick.
They have a Blick brand tubed acrylic that comes in many colors with some quite vibrant.
I use with a mixture of distilled water to get the perfect consistancy.
The colors adhere well and the cleanup is easy.
No matter what type of paints I try, If I do not use Distilled water, I will not get the look I am looking for.
This seems to be the key to better controlling the paint.
I hope this helps.

mmmm excellent work... Have I mentioned I'm in need of a new sketchbook soon? I'll send you a note when I'm ready to... or would it be better to contact you through etsy?
