Description
This is a 6x9 French crimson leather journal. Hand tooled and inlayed on the covers with decorative filigree and gold painted accents. Heavier parchment stock for the text block and crimson pages to start and finish the book. Marbled paper for the end sheets and multiple ribbon book marks hand sewn into the spine. Two color hand sewn headbands and golden glazed at the head and tail. Centerpiece is a painting of Captain Alfonse Linnaeus Crimsontail that has been domed in the frame and double coated with a medium sheen varnish.

I know I am late to the party here, but this is one of, if not the, finest example of a handmade book project I've ever come across. Where did you get the gold frame on the front cover? Or was it handmade as well?
